At this point of life, I felt that I have the illness - schizophrenic. Need to be a different type of person or put up masks in front of different group of people.
Quite tiring but necessary. Sometimes I wondered why can't I be myself? I felt that I just can't because of the people there, the situation, and being professional. This is is like isn't it? Haha oh wells. Just some grievances.
Cheers for Mondays!

How true is this statement? Everyone has a choice, it's whether which one is more appropriate, desirable or simply the most logically at that exact moment.
The statement stated that nobody does things because of you, it's all for themselves... it's true though to a certain extent... whether it's for their own interest, to gain favour, to build reputation etc.. but have you ever thought that you did what you did because of a certain person's influence?
Will that also meant that you did it because of that person? Does it makes sense? Quite a debatable statement though... normally some movie lines goes like, "I did this for your own good because I want you to be happy." This line can swing both ways, one is for himself because he wants you to think that he did the right thing... and he has nothing to benefit from, presume that he is a good person, two it's because of you, want you to be happy, your own interest, for your future etc... what a selfless parent will do for his child (then does this still mean that he did this because of the child instead of himself?)
Phew argument early in the morning, squeeze some brain juices out from my brain.
Cheers!
Sometimes I really thought of being an entrepreneur, having my own business and making my own decisions. But a viable and profitable business model must be there and the initial starting capital.
And being successful is one thing, the maintenance of a business is another thing. Firstly it's very hard to start a business in Singapore, lots to research on and the market is saturated with all kinds of products and services. What's make you think you can succeed?
Yea but taking the first step is the way to go but many wouldn't. Fear of failure the main hindrance to entrepreneurship, same goes for me, many like me from middle income group, just can't afford to lose that capital if the business fails.
Well it all boils down to whether you dare to brave this first step and risk being a pauper at some stage of your life.
Cheers !
On Sunday, I watched a show on the education system in the united states. It shows how bad the system for elementary schools is, with incompetent teachers and union still backing these teachers. Not sure whether it's based on a true story or simply fictional. More than half the students graduated from elementary school not knowing how to read or spell properly. It's quite appalling to me.
Imagine the struggles of how a parent felt when her child is enrolled into such school. This show featured two parents with kids suffering from dyslexia, struggled to teach their kids and cope with the problem. The teachers and current education system are not helping the situation. Thus the two parents decided to take over the school which their children are studying in and revamp the whole education system in the school. Overcoming all odds like procedures and approvals, they finally did it!
It's inspirational to watch such a movie, teaching us not to give up regardless of the obstacles, and one day you will eventually succeed.
Cheers.
